Question 1

What is Datcha.dog?

Accepted Answer

Datcha.dog is the authority on the dog as a luxury client. Born in Paris and operating worldwide, Datcha.dog advises the brands, places and services whose client is a dog (the Studio), brings them together with a private community of dogs and their humans (the Datcha Club), measures dog satisfaction through its own standard (the Dog-Spitality©), and publishes the Datcha.dog Journal.

Question 2

What is the Dog-Spitality©?

Accepted Answer

The Dog-Spitality© is the standard for the dog as a client, created and registered as a trademark by Datcha.dog in Paris. It is the art of recognizing the dog as a true client, one whose needs are anticipated, whose comfort is designed with intention, and whose presence inspires tailored services, rituals, and care. It comes in two parts: a doctrine in five rules for every house that receives dogs, and a label of thirty-five criteria that measures the dog's experience in a House across seven moments.

Question 3

Who created the Dog-Spitality©?

Accepted Answer

Datcha.dog created the Dog-Spitality© in Paris. Dog-Spitality is a registered trademark of DATCHA DOG. The term, its definition and its criteria may not be reproduced or used without written permission.

Question 4

Does the Dog-Spitality© apply to brands?

Accepted Answer

No. The Dog-Spitality© label measures places where a dog is received: hotels, restaurants, shops and services. A brand is never certified. For a brand, the Datcha.dog Studio advises, and the Datcha Club puts the offer to real dogs.

Question 5

Is the Dog-Spitality© certification a paid service?

Accepted Answer

No. The Dog-Spitality© survey and certification are free for any House, and are requested at thedogspitality.com. What the Datcha.dog Studio sells is the advisory work that takes a House from where it stands to where it wants to be.

Question 6

What is the Datcha.dog Studio?

Accepted Answer

The Datcha.dog Studio is the first consulting agency in the world built for the premium and luxury businesses whose client is a dog. It works with hotels and places on one side, and brands, products and services on the other, on substantial commitments. A smaller brand that wants to reach this clientele enters the Datcha Club, by selection.

Question 7

Does Datcha.dog only work with Parisian brands and hotels?

Accepted Answer

No. Datcha.dog was born in Paris and operates worldwide, with a presence in Hong Kong. The Datcha.dog Studio works with hotels, places, brands and services wherever they are, and the members of the Datcha Club travel with their dogs across the world. Paris is where the standard was written. The clients are everywhere.

Question 8

How much does the Datcha.dog Studio cost?

Accepted Answer

Every Datcha.dog Studio engagement is shaped in conversation, from what the house brings: a launch, a market to enter, a brand to lift, a clientele to keep, a product to rethink. The first step is a message to hello@datcha.dog. Datcha.dog answers as soon as it can.

Question 9

Does Datcha.dog measure the results of its work?

Accepted Answer

Yes, twice over: in the house's results, and in the satisfaction of its clients, the human and the dog. Dog satisfaction is measured with Datcha.dog's own index, the DSAT, the Dog Satisfaction Metrics©.

Question 10

Does Datcha.dog work with dog influencers?

Accepted Answer

No. Datcha.dog runs no influencer campaigns, no user-generated content and no sponsored posts, on its own accounts or through the members of the Datcha Club. A brand that wants this clientele's attention enters the Datcha Club by selection, on its own terms.

Question 11

What is the Datcha Club?

Accepted Answer

The Datcha Club is the private community created by Datcha.dog for dogs and their humans, and for the houses, brands and services selected for them: travel, dining, shopping and care, gathered in one place. Membership is free, by admission: members apply, or are referred by a member, at datchaclub.com. Houses, brands and services apply at the same address.

Question 12

What is Datcha.today?

Accepted Answer

Datcha.today is the philanthropic platform created by Datcha.dog: a free, public directory of trusted organisations that help dogs, across thirty-five countries, with six ways to act, from two minutes to fifteen years of commitment. It is in French, at datcha.today.
